TCCMF Mission:
TCCMF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to building and promoting the transgender and gender-expansive community through singing.
We are building that community through a multi-pronged approach, addressing trans visibility, trans advocacy, trans community outreach, academic research and other forms of support.
Our nonprofit has been supporting trans & gender expansive singers since 2023, and our choirs have been active in the NYC metropolitan area since 2021. We serve a community of over 100 singers, most of whom identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and specifically the transgender community. Through our Community Chorale & Ambassadors choirs, we perform at least two concerts a year, as well as multiple paid engagements around the city that help fund our programs. Our choirs have performed at The Cathedral of St John the Divine, The Longhouse Reserve, The Spring Hill Arts Gathering, and Red Bulls Stadium, and in 2025 we put on our first off-broadway musical production at The Flea.
We have an audience of over 4,000 followers on Instagram, and are eager to broaden our reach to promote transgender & gender nonconforming vocal talent.

TCCMF is currently led by our Artistic Director & Founder, Dr. Felix Graham, our Community Chorale director, Hannah Cai Sobel, and supported by an interim Board of Directors, as well as volunteers and a paid grant writer. Other program leaders include Mjjah Baez, who is starting the TRANScend Barbershop ensemble.
Our Interim Board consists of Hana Gao, Izaak Ehrhardt, Sacha Goughnour, and Adam Holbrook as voting directors, and Dr. Felix Graham & Hannah Cai Sobel as non-voting ex-officio members. Our Directors have volunteered their time on a temporary basis to assist TCCMF in transitioning to a new board, and will be responsible for selecting the new board.
TCCMF volunteers include Hana Gao, who supports non-profit administration and fundraising, Sacha Goughnour who leads marketing & digital operations, and Juliet Cosme, who supports social media content. We are also supported by our members committee, TMBRE, who support our members, provide feedback to leadership, and organize community events. TMBRE is led by Izaak Ehrhardt and Crys/ta Song.

Our operating budget requires a minimum $26,000 per year to support rehearsal space and music. We do not require member dues for Ambassadors, since their participation helps raise funds for TCCMF. Our Chorale pays dues on a sliding scale from $0 - $60 per semester.
In the past we have received grants from LMCC, NYC Pride Gives Back, and NYSCA, as well as a residency with The Flea for our 2025 TRANScend Plays program.
Additional funding is provided by founder Dr. Felix Graham, and other private donations. Dr. Graham is pursuing an endowment for TCCMF, provided by the estate of Lenore Weinstein, which we hope to have finalized in 2027.
